fun fun fun
Tuesday evening is family night at the public pool. It cost us $7.50 to take five kids and two adults and we get to take our own drinks and food in for a picnic. That is what we did tonight, everyone had a blast, then we came home and started a fire in our fire pit and made smores. I didn't partake of the smores though, waaaaaaaaay to much sugar. After we were done with making smores we put some pinion on the fire. I love the smell of pinion... good thing too because that's what I smell like now. LOL

Are You Willing to Pay the Coin?
The Law of Return is IMO the very first and one of the most important things that should be taught to any new witch.

Be careful what you cast... it could bite you in the ass. Then again, LoR isn't just about casting either...
There are no ten commandments in witchcraft and contrary to popular fluff the rede is not a commandment, it's a pretty poem. Most trad wiccans know this and most witches are not wiccan so it's a moot point. The LoR is universal though, you see it in one form or another in all religions. You reap what you sow. If you don't really understand that old saying, it has to do with planting and harvesting, you harvest what you plant, you get what you give.
So when you go to cast a spell for vengeance what exactly is it that you're willing to sacrifice to get temporary satisfaction? It could be anything, even your own life... or that of someone you love dearly. Is it worth it? Are you willing to pay the coin?

Yule & Christmas
WOW! What a wonderfully blessed holiday season this has been for us! Pictures will be up soon. Didn't get a whole bunch taken though because the batteries in my digital camera decided to die on me right when everyone was opening presents at the big family Christmas Eve party.
Parker, our kids, and I all opened our presents to one another on Yule (Dec. 21). We also did our yearly Yule tide blessings and wishes. On December 23 the whole Wolfrose clan got together at Gimini's house and exchanged gifts. The kids had a blast and of course Gimini cooked so we all stuffed ourselves with truly awesome food. The next party was the big one at my grandmothers house on Christmas Eve where all the kids made out like bandits. Christmas morning we each spent individually. Gimini had to work that morning but enjoyed the rest of the day with her children. Jadynn spent the whole day with her kids, her mother, and her grandparents. My family spent the day at my grandmothers having turkey and roast.
We had a really good holiday and we hope that you are as blessed as we are surrounded by family with lots and lots of love to go around.

Thanksgiving
We hope everyone had as great a Thanksgiving as we did! We all spent the morning and early afternoon with our other families and then came together for our traditional Thanksgiving evening feast.
The kids all had a blast. They jumped on the trampoline because it was a nice day. Booter was playing with Gimini's guy and laughed so hard he cried which made everyone else laugh. Of course the food was awesome because Gimini cooked. *grin* Turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes, gravy, green bean casserole, rolls, deviled eggs, fruit salad, and the deserts! Oh my! Cherry pie, apple pie, pumpkin pie, chocolate pie, Gimini's famous strawberry banana pie, and Parker made a blueberry cake. It was all fantabulous! The most important thing though was that we were together.
We also acquired new family members. Jadynn had brought over her new puppy (Odie) that she got as an early xmas prezie from another friend of hers. She is half Chihuahua, half Pomeranian and cute as a button. The guy she got her from was only charging $20 for the puppies so Gimini bought one for Christi as a thank you for everything she does for her. C named her Brownie and she has the cutest little teddy bear face. I couldn't resist either. Got one which will have the longest hair and named her Lady McBooBerry. Then after explaining that he had to charge for them because some people get the little ones to feed to snakes if they are for free, he mentioned that he had a nine month old Chi to give away for free also. So I got Miss Foxy Roxy too.
